Macbeth had described the dagger by sayin ‘The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee: i have thee not, and yet i see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible To feeling as to sight?’ Macbeth does and doesn’t trust the dagger because he thinks that his imagination is playing up but he thinks that its a sign at the same time.

Hello Warith,
I’m interested as to what this might be a symbol of? What might the dagger stand for? Why?
Why does Macbeth not feel that he can trust what he sees? What might impede his judgement? Why?
